Religious rituals have occurred, in virtually every human culture, with an almost infinite variety of form. But in every known case, a singular principle holds true: When religious ritual is effective, it inclines the brain to adjust its cognitive and emotional perceptions of the self in a way that religiously-minded persons interpret as
a closing of the distance
between the self and God.

GOOD AT THE CORE
Parenting as holy, human work
Parenting stretches us in ways nothing else does.
It exposes our limits, our longings, our old wounds, and our deepest hopes — often all at once.
This ritual is not about fixing your child.
It’s about understanding what’s happening — in them, and in you — with greater compassion, clarity, and care.
Rooted in the belief of original goodness, Good at the Core offers a different starting place for parenting. We are not asking, “What’s wrong with my child?” or “What’s wrong with me?”
We are asking, “What makes sense?”
Together, we’ll slow down and explore:
-
Why behavior — yours and your child’s — always has a reason
-
How your nervous system shapes the way you parent
-
Why safety, not fear, is the foundation for real transformation
-
How trauma and protective parts influence reactions
-
How to shift from shame and control to skill-building and connection
This is a 90-minute embodied experience, blending gentle teaching with simple practices you can actually use in everyday life. You won’t be asked to perform, overshare, or have anything figured out. There is no fixing here — only noticing, understanding, and learning.
You’ll leave with:
-
A deeper compassion for yourself as a parent
-
A clearer lens for understanding your child’s behavior
-
Practical, embodied skills to support regulation and connection
-
Relief from the belief that you are failing
This space is especially for parents who:
-
Feel triggered, reactive, or depleted
-
Are tired of parenting from guilt or fear
-
Want to break patterns without shaming themselves
-
Long to steward their children with wisdom and care
I am not offering this as an expert who has parenting mastered.
I am offering it as a fellow parent — in the trenches, practicing imperfectly, learning day by day — who believes this work is holy, hard, and worth doing together.
You are not failing.
You are learning.
And learning can be practiced — gently, compassionately, over time.
If you’re longing for a way of parenting that honors goodness, builds safety, and teaches skills instead of shame, you are warmly invited to join us.
